Youth: USA qualifies for U-17 Women's World Cup with 3-2 win over Haiti

Sunshine Fontes  scored twice in a 3-2 win over Haiti to send the USA into the 2018 Concacaf Women's U-17 Championship final against Mexico (Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. ET, go90.com, UDN). The win clinched a spot for the USA at the U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay (Nov. 13-Dec. 1).

The USA fell behind in the 13th minute when Melchie Dumonay's 30-yard free kick fooled U.S. goalkeeper Angelina Anderson. Fontes equalized in the 32nd minute, Mia Fishel made it 2-1 in the 49th, and Fontes struck again in the 50th minute. Haiti scored a consolation goal in stoppage time.

Haiti faces Canada, a 2-1 semifinal loser to Mexico, in the third-place game for the third Concacaf spot at the U-17 World Cup.
